For agencies

Every client gets real audience research. Nobody has to spend two days on it.

The research step is the one that gets cut. The pitch is Thursday, nobody has budget for a market study, so somebody writes four personas from memory the night before and the client can tell. Populica does that step for every client you run, on one flat plan with no cap on how many clients.

What an agency actually gets

One company per client

Each client is its own company with its own researched audience set, brand colours and service catalogue. Projects inside it keep each engagement separate. On the Agency plan there is no cap on either.

Research that is specific to them

Personas come from the client's own business, sector and positioning, not a fixed template. Two clients in the same sector get different audiences because their positioning differs.

A document you can present

Audiences with the reasoning, strategy brief, ad creative per persona, channel mix with budget split, flight plan and an executive summary. Exports to PDF.

Creative per audience, not one generic ad

Each persona gets its own headline, body, CTA and visual, built from that persona's objections and tone rather than from the brand deck alone.

Where it fits in a normal week

  1. New business pitch. Run the research on the prospect before the call. You walk in with their buyers, their objections and a campaign direction instead of a credentials deck.
  2. Onboarding a client you just won. The audience set and the launch document become the first deliverable, in the first week, while the real discovery is still being scheduled.
  3. A client asks for a campaign on Friday. The six step studio gets you to a full brief with creative the same afternoon, and you spend your time editing judgement calls rather than filling blank fields.
  4. Quarterly planning. Re-run research when the client's positioning changes and compare it against what you assumed last quarter.

The cost comparison that matters

ApproachWhat it costsTurnaround
Freelance market researcher, per projectTypically several hundred to a few thousand dollars per engagement, quoted per projectDays to weeks
A junior writing personas from memoryBillable hours, and a deliverable the client can tell was guessedAn evening
Populica Agency plan$129 a month, unlimited clientsMinutes per client

To be straight with you: this is not measured market research and it does not replace talking to your client's actual customers. It is a researched starting point that removes the blank page, and it is consistent across every client you run. If you need primary research with a defensible methodology, hire the researcher.

Annual billing saves 20%. The company cap is what usually decides it: an agency hits the limit on the second client. Full detail on the pricing section.

Draft an audience brief

Questions agencies ask

Can I use one account for all my clients?

Yes, on the Agency plan. No cap on companies or projects, so each client is its own company with its own research. Free and Starter are capped at one company, Pro at five.

Is the output something I can put in front of a client?

The launch document is built for that, and it exports to PDF. It is a first draft you edit and sign off on, the same as anything a junior hands you.

Does this replace a researcher?

No. It removes the blank page. The personas are an AI research pass over the client's business and sector, which is a hypothesis to validate, not measured market research.

Can I white label it?

Not today. The exported document carries the content, not Populica branding on the work itself, so you can present the thinking as yours. There is no custom domain or logo replacement in the product yet, and I would rather say so than imply otherwise.

What if my client is in a sector you do not know?

The research runs from the client's own profile, so any sector works. Four sectors have a deeper built-in pack; marketing agency is the most developed one. The rest lean on the company profile you give it.
